Royal Rumble (1998) was the eleventh annual Royal Rumble. It was presented by MCI's 1-800-COLLECT, and took place on January 18, 1998 at the San Jose Arena in San Jose, California. The main event was a casket match between Shawn Michaels and The Undertaker for the WWF Championship. The main matches on the undercard were the Royal Rumble match, The Legion Of Doom (Hawk and Animal) versus The New Age Outlaws (Road Dogg and Billy Gunn) for the WWF Tag Team Championship, and The Rock versus Ken Shamrock for the WWF Intercontinental Championship.

WWE Survivor Series 1998 1998

Survivor Series (1998) was the twelfth annual Survivor Series. It was presented by Nestlé Crunch and took place on November 15, 1998 at the Kiel Center in St. Louis, Missouri. Fourteen matches were scheduled on the event's card, a noticeably higher number than most pay-per-view events because the main focus of the card was a tournament for the vacant WWF Championship titled Deadly Game. It was the first tournament held with the WWF Championship on the line in ten years, the last being at WrestleMania IV. Aside from the tournament, two other championship matches occurred: the first defense of the WWF Women's Championship since it had been reactivated and a triple threat tag team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship. This event was also the first Survivor Series not to feature the traditional Survivor Series elimination-style tag team match.

WCW Slamboree 1998 1998

Slamboree 1998 took place on May 17, 1998 from The Centrum in Worcester, Massachusetts and featured a double main event. The first was Randy Savage versus Bret Hart with Roddy Piper as the guest referee while the second was The Outsiders defending the WCW World Tag Team Championships against Sting & The Giant. A stunt match had Eric Bischoff challenging Vince McMahon to a match and holding it even though Vince had never acknowledged or accepted the challenge. Goldberg defended the WCW United States Championship against Saturn, Ultimo Dragon wrestled Eddie Guerrero, Diamond Dallas Page faced Raven in a Bowery Death match, Chris Jericho defended the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Dean Malenko, Fit Finlay defended the WCW World Television Championship against Chris Benoit, Brian Adams fought Lex Luger, and a Cruiserweight Battle Royal was held with 15 contestants for a shot at the Cruiserweight belt.

WWE King of the Ring 1998 1998

King of the Ring (1998) was the sixth annual King of the Ring. It was presented by Super Soaker and took place on June 28, 1998 at the Pittsburgh Civic Arena in Pittsburgh, PA. The main event was a First Blood match featuring Kane vs Steve Austin for the WWF Championship. The other main match was a Hell in a Cell match featuring The Undertaker defeating Mankind. Featured matches on the undercard included the KOTR tournament final between Ken Shamrock and The Rock, with the winner to receive a Tag team match for the WWF Tag Team Championship between the New Age Outlaws and The New Midnight Express. This event produced the most famous Hell in a Cell match of all time, pitting The Undertaker against Mankind. Less than two minutes into the match, The Undertaker threw Mankind from the top of the 16' high cell through the Spanish announcers table. A few minutes later in the match in another memorable moment, The Undertaker chokeslammed Mankind through the top of the cell.

WCW Halloween Havoc 1998 1998

Halloween Havoc 1998 took place on October 25, 1998 from the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas, Nevada and featured a double main event. The main event was Goldberg defending the WCW World Heavyweight Championship against Diamond Dallas Page. Also heavily promoted was a match between Hollywood Hogan and The Warrior. Two of the larger matches were Bret Hart defending the WCW United States Heavyweight Championship against Sting and The Outsiders brawling as Scott Hall took on Kevin Nash in a singles match. Other matches included a rematch between Scott Steiner and Rick Steiner, The Giant and Scott Steiner defended the WCW World Tag team Championships against Rick Steiner & Buff Bagwell, Billy Kidman defended the WCW Cruiserweight Championship against Disco Inferno, and Chris Jericho defended the WCW World Television Championship against Raven.

Stella Shorts 1998-2002 2002

STELLA is a three-man comedy troupe from New York City, comprised of well-known comedians/actors Michael Showalter, David Wain, and Michael Ian Black. Though the three have made a living performing at comedy clubs, they are perhaps best known for their home-made short films. The STELLA SHORTS have garnered cult success because of their nonsensical plotlines, absurd dialogue, graphic sexual humor, sporatic violence, and sheer hilarity. The 1998 AFL Grand Final was an Australian rules football game contested between the Adelaide Crows and the North Melbourne Kangaroos, held at the Melbourne Cricket Ground in Melbourne on 26 September 1998. It was the 102nd annual Grand Final of the Australian Football League (formerly the Victorian Football League), staged to determine the premiers for the 1998 AFL season. The match, attended by 94,431 spectators, was won by Adelaide by a margin of 35 points marking that club's second consecutive premiership victory, and second premiership overall.

Starrcade (1998) was the sixteenth annual Starrcade professional wrestling PPV event and took place on December 27, 1998 from the MCI Center in Washington, D.C. The main event was a No Disqualification match between Goldberg and Kevin Nash for the WCW World Heavyweight Championship. Their feud began when Nash won a battle royal at World War 3, and earned a title match while Goldberg had an undefeated streak of 173 matches heading into Starrcade.
